Jeffrey S. McConnell
Jeff McConnell joined EKA after managing a growing list of clients at his own firm McConnell Government Relations. He is a specialist in technology and transportation related fields while maintaining a strong background in land use policy and the budget process of the City and County of Los Angeles. Jeff has assisted his clients in obtaining hundreds of millions of dollars of contract awards over the past 10 years. Previous to starting his own firm, he served as the Vice President for Arnie Berghoff & Associates from 2003-2010. During that time, he managed the day to day activities for many of the firm’s clients and was responsible for monitoring, analyzing and drafting legislation and administrative actions of various agencies that affected their clients.
Prior to working at Arnie Berghoff and Associates, he was a Legislative Deputy for Councilman Nick Pacheco, where he focused on transportation, public works, economic redevelopment of downtown L.A., libraries and the City budget.
Mr. McConnell is currently Vice-Chair of the Valley Industry and Commerce Association, a former Co-Chair of the Transportation and Goods Movement Committee for the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce where he serves on the Board. He also serves on the Board of BizFed and the Board of Fashion Business, Inc., a non-profit devoted to the economic development of the fashion industry. Jeff is a graduate of Vanderbilt University with a degree in Chemical Engineering and Theater. He lives with his wife and two daughters in La Canada-Flintridge.
