Partner and General Counsel
Adam Englander is Partner and General Counsel with Englander Knabe & Allen in Los Angeles, where he provides strategic counsel regarding public, government, and media affairs. Adam coordinates strategic planning, political and community outreach and lobbying efforts for clients throughout Southern California, having lead successful efforts for development projects, procurement bids and regulatory approvals in the City of Los Angeles, County of Los Angeles, the cities of Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, Long Beach, Hermosa Beach, Whittier and other cities within Los Angeles County.
Adam also provides crisis and litigation communication services to clients nationwide, including crisis strategy, media relations, community outreach and political consulting. As a former practicing attorney, Adam provides insight into the communications process through a litigation framework and has worked to secure national and international media coverage for his clients.
Prior to joining Englander Knabe & Allen, Adam was an attorney with the law firm of Cox, Castle & Nicholson, where he provided legal representation and advice for residential and commercial real estate, hospitality, and resort and healthcare clients in Southern California and throughout the United States. Prior to working at Cox, Castle & Nicholson, Adam worked at Burke, Williams & Sorensen, LLP where he served as Deputy City Attorney for the City of Alhambra and provided legal representation for the various cities in Southern California, along with other public and private clients. Adam was also selected as a 2009 and 2010 Southern California Rising Star by Super Lawyers magazine.
Adam has also participated in federal, state and local campaigns and is a board member of the Silver Lake Independent Jewish Community Center and the Heidi Duckler Dance Theater, which creates site-specific contemporary art experiences in nontraditional places.
Adam currently resides in the City of Los Angeles and is a graduate of Cornell University, where he earned degrees in Government and Film Studies, and UCLA School of Law.
